Next bridge to the south was first time build in 1226 and is the oldest crossing over the river Rhein. The name of the bridge is "the middle bridge", or Mittlere Brücke.

Ferry Boat "Leu".
The first ferry boat of this kind was introduced in Basel in 1850.
The ferry boat has no motor and is only using the force of the river to move forward.
There are in all four ferry boats: "Ueli" at St. Johann "Vogel Gryff" at Klingental "Leu" at the Minster "Wilde Maa" at St. Alban
